Cash Flow problems:

  • Problem: Declining cash flows.
  • Solution: I did comprehensive analysis of their billing & collection process and identified their poor credit & collection process as the cause of this problem. We coached them how to implement a better system to ensure higher collection rates.

  • Problem: Ineffective Daily Cash Management process
  • Solution: Trained their Accountant how to setup a rolling 7 Day cashflow forecasting system and how to get reliable data to support their forecast.

Declining Revenue problems

  • Problem: Pricing model was “all over the place” some items too high, some too low
  • Solution: We analyzed their pricing structure, including benchmarking, cost/breakeven analysis etc and developed a pricing structure that increased revenues by 17% in 90 days.

  • Problem: Lack of Revenue Source Analysis, owner was getting bad revenue/sales data & was making bad decisions based on this bad data.
  • Solution: We developed a data tracking solution to track and analyze revenue sources. This allowed them to make better decisions in terms of where to spend advertising $$

Business valuation problems

  • Problem: Client’s business was undervalued by 70+% which caused them to lose out on a $15 million capital infusion
  • Problem: Client’s business was overvalued” which prevented them from getting their business sold. Their ability to retire comfortably depended on the sale of their business for a fairly valued price.
  • Solution: in both cases we did a certified business valuation to certify the fair value of their business.

Other problems

  • Problem: This company had 3X more debt than assets and was highly over leveraged
  • Solution: We helped them develop a debt restructuring/repayment plan & reduced their average interest rates from 21% to 7%.

  • Problem: Company failed their Medicare audit and was in danger of losing their Medicare contract which provided 60% of their revenues
  • Solution: We developed a Corrective Action Plan which was approved by Medicaid. The corrective plan included stronger internal controls, better documentation and better trained staff. We coached them through the entire process for 1 year. Their next Medicaid audit they passed with flying colors
